Five common misconceptions about the HUMSS strand.

1. "It's only for future teachers."

   Many think HUMSS is just for those who want to teach, but it prepares students for various careers like law, journalism, psychology, and more.

   
   

2. "It's easy compared to other strands."

   HUMSS might not have as much math or science, but it focuses on deep thinking, creativity, and communication, which can be challenging.

   
   

3. "You can’t get a high-paying job with HUMSS."

   HUMSS careers, like lawyers, psychologists, or writers, can be rewarding and well-paying if you work hard and gain experience.

   
   

4. "HUMSS students are only good at talking."

   While HUMSS improves speaking skills, it also teaches critical thinking, research, and writing.

   
   

5. "It’s not as important as STEM or ABM."

   HUMSS helps society understand culture, human behavior, and social issues, it's just as important as other strands.

   
   

   Combating misconceptions about HUMSS is needed to ensure all educational paths are valued equally and to empower students to pursue their passions without fear of judgment.
